Sorry :( I was sure that's how it was spelt! At least you can change it. :)

Well, at least until we reach Monday, I've changed the site password to "Anna Keranina" because SOMEBODY in English wrote on the whiteboard that it was spelt that way.

Re: Reading difficult texts by (account deleted), 26 Oct 2010 10:04

It looks alright to me.

I'll have a little look and play around with the options. I'll try not to break anything.

If there isn't enough format customisation, it would either have to be a new wiki or we'd just have to put up with the bad layout.
I'm sure there'll be something to sort it, though.

EDIT:
Alright, after looking around, there are plenty of customisation options with templates, CSS, discussion layout, the works. I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for, but it can probably be done.

I think I've given you admin priveleges Kahlil. I guess its just the design of the pages that I'm worried about, each post is very dense which means it is hard to see a lot of posts simultaneously. I've seen neater Wikis!

Can't access the Site Manager without admin priviliges. Not entirely sure on your meaning of running a conversation without deviations, anywho. As far as I can see though, it seems to be working alright.

Re: Reading difficult texts by (account deleted), 13 Oct 2010 18:21

somehow I don't think thats possible!:) Who's the author of your book? Whats it about? Worth reading?

Re: Reading difficult texts by Pippa CaddPippa Cadd, 12 Oct 2010 18:22

It is working thus far but I don't think I've set up the streaming of messages correctly, It should be possible to run a conversation in a line with multiple participants without it starting up deviations. Any ideas? Feel free to browse the site manager -it may not let you change anything but I'm not entirely sure about this either!

Re: Reading difficult texts by Ms VarneyMs Varney, 11 Oct 2010 20:33

Oh look, it's working now! Must go read instead.

Getting on with reading Don Quixote is pretty confusing. It's a good book, but somewhat complicated in it's wording.

Let's be hoping this works and don't end up looking greatly computer illiterate somehow.

Thanx I will look for it the next time I'm in the library. It wasn't that difficult to work out what to do in order to join, but thanx!
How are you getting on with Infinite Jest?

Re: Reading difficult texts by Pippa CaddPippa Cadd, 11 Oct 2010 18:45

How about Short stories? Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber is pretty easy going if I remember rightly!
Well done for getting in!
